CALL TO ACTION! TELL YOUR SENATOR: “DON’T CUT OHIO’S PUBLIC LIBRARIES.”
We need your help to protect Ohio’s libraries and the millions of people they serve.
The House of Representatives passed a budget proposal that would eliminate the Public Library Fund (PLF) and replace it with a line-item appropriation representing a $100 million cut to library funding compared to Governor DeWine’s budget. The budget heads to the Ohio Senate this week.
How does this impact you?
The PLF contributes approximately 50% of the Franklin-Springboro Public Library’s revenue. This funding supports community services and resources, including:
- Access to books, movies, newspapers, and magazines
- Storytimes and other children’s literacy programs
- Computers and Wi-Fi access
- Online research, skill training, and educational resources
- Homebound deliveries and school visits
- Meeting and study rooms
We need YOUR voice TODAY! You can find your state senator phone number and email by searching your home address
- Tell your senator to keep the Public Library Fund.
- Share how important the library is to you and your family.
- Explain how a cut to libraries would negatively impact you and our community.
By taking action you can help protect the future of Franklin-Springboro Public Library and all the libraries that make Ohio a better place to live, learn, and grow.
