Teen Programs

Please read descriptions below, and join us for some fun at the library!
Registration is required for all programs unless otherwise noted, and are open to teens, ages 11-18.
 


Carving and Candy

  • Date: Wednesday, October 29
  • Time: 5:00-6:30 p.m
  • Location: Franklin Branch
    Spooky, Scary… PUMPKINS? Join us at the Franklin Branch on Wednesday, October 29th, for our Carving and Candy program! Teens will have the chance to carve pumpkins, snack on candy, and watch Halloweentown together to get into the Halloween Spirit. All supplies will be provided but feel free to bring extra snacks for yourself for the movie! Ѽ
     

If You Give a Teen a Cookie

  • Date: Wednesday, November 12.
  • Time: 5:00-6:30 p.m.
  • Location: Springboro Branch 

If you give a teen some cookie dough, they’ll probably ask for more. Good thing for them they can make more at our edible cookie dough program! Join us at the Springboro Branch on Wednesday, November 12th, to make edible cookie dough with all your favorite mix ins. All supplies will be provided so no need to bring anything except for a sweet tooth! ☆


Yay for Clay!

  • Date: January 14 and January 21, 2026
  • Time: 5-6:30 p.m.
  • Location: Franklin Branch
  • Registration begins December 1

Discover your Pot-ential and come make pinch pots! Join us for this two-day program where teens will get to make pinch pots out of air dry clay on the first day and come back to paint their pots on the second after they’ve had a week to dry. All supplies will be provided so teens only need to bring themselves and their creativity! ★ If your teen can only make it to one of the two days, please feel free to sign up still! 
 

BEE My Valentine

  • Date: February 11, 2026
  • Time: 5-6:30 p.m.
  • Location: Springboro Branch
  • Registration begins January 1 

Did you know that Saint Valentine is actually the patron saint of beekeepers and epilepsy? Join us on February 11th from 5-6:30pm at the Springboro Branch to learn about Saint Valentine, how Valentine’s Day came BEE, and our favorite pollinators! Following a short presentation on the holiday’s history and bees, we will play a round of trivia for a chance to win gift cards and make seed shakers with seeds for Ohio Native Plants! 🐝


Totally Totes

  • Date: February 24, 2026
  • Time: 5-6:30 p.m.
  • Location: Springboro Branch
  • Registration begins January 1

Join us for our Totally Totes program on Tuesday, February 24th, from 5-6:30pm at the Springboro Branch and design your own tote bag! Participants will draw what they’d like on their tote bags on paper and then we will scan their designs and print them onto tote bags at a local Makerspace. All supplies are provided and after their designs have been printed, teens will be able to pick up their custom tote bags at the front desk of the branch of their choosing. ☆

 

Gnome Homes

  • Date: March 12, 2026
  • Time: 5-6:30 p.m.
  • Location: Franklin Branch
  • Registration begins February 1

Turn this gnome house into a gnome home during this fun program! Join us on Thursday, March 12th, from 5-6:30pm at the Franklin Branch to paint and decorate gnome homes. All supplies will be provided for this program so you’ll only need to bring yourself and your creativity! 

 

Tile Coasters

  • Date: March 24, 2026
  • Time: 5-6:30 p.m.
  • Location: Springboro Branch
  • Registration begins February 1

Join us for this tilerrific program and make tile coasters on Tuesday, March 24th, from 5-6:30pm at the Springboro Branch! During this program participants will use 1x1 tiles, grout, and cork to make functional coasters and you’ll never have to worry about water rings on your tables again! All supplies will be provided and we hope to see you there. ★


Blocked! and Printed 

  • Date: April 8, 2026
  • Time: 5-6:30 p.m.
  • Location: Springboro Branch
  • Registration begins March 1

Join us for our Blocked! and Printed program on Wednesday, April 8th, from 5-6:30pm at the Springboro Branch to learn how to block print using Styrofoam! All supplies will be provided so teens only need to bring themselves and their creativity! Not sure what we mean by Styrofoam block printing? Check out what we mean here! 
 

Build a Bouquet

  • Date: April 21, 2026
  • Time: 5-6:30 p.m.
  • Location: Franklin Branch
  • Registration begins March 1

They say April showers bring May flowers but why wait until May? Join us at the Franklin Branch on Wednesday, April 21st, to build your own bouquet of fresh flowers! Vases and flowers will be provided and teens will be able to decorate their own vase paint makers and stickers to add another personal touch ❀
