Any Ohio resident can become a registered borrower upon presenting photo identification with proof of current street address (P.O. boxes are not accepted). Children under 18 require a parent’s or guardian’s signature.
All books, music, magazines, and instructional movies are loaned for 21 days. Audiobooks are loaned for 21 days. Feature films and video games are loaned for 7 days.
A patron age 17 or younger is limited to a total of 15 items and 4 music CDs. A patron must be at least 18 years old to checkout movies and video games. Adults may checkout: 15 DVDs, 5 video games, and 20 music CDs.
The Franklin-Springboro Public Library no longer charges late fees. However, if materials are not returned, or are returned damaged, the library may charge the replacement cost of the item. This may result in being sent to a Collection Agency, which will add a fee of $10.00 to your account. If an item is lost for over 1 year, it may not be returned or refunded. The lost item must be paid for.
Items that are not on reserve or at renewal limits will be automatically renewed. Patrons may renew online or by calling the library. Library accounts may also be accessed through the online Catalog with a library card number and PIN. Patrons accessing accounts online may also activate and suspend holds.
Movies and video games can be renewed up to 5 times. Audiobooks, books, music CDs, and magazines may be renewed up to 10 times.
Patrons may place holds on all material types in the library. This can be done using the library’s online catalog or by asking a staff member at the circulation desks.
The Franklin-Springboro Public Library is not accepting donations of books, magazines, movies, music, or audiobooks at this time. If you are interested in making a monetary donation or tribute gift, please contact the library. Thank you for thinking of us.
