Award winning author Sharon Short, who writes the Kinship Historical Mystery series as Jess Montgomery, has enjoyed many successes:  three mystery series, two stand-alone books, a humor column that ran for 10 years, and a literary life column that's run for six years (and counting).  Plus, she's had her share of so-called flops.  Explore how you might apply her many lessons learned in her 20 plus years as a published writer.

Pause to Paint

 

Come in from the cold and explore your creative side with artist Lisa Duncan.  Use acrylic paints to create an 11" x 14" portrait of one of our favorite local birds - the cardinal.  Duncan translates her love of nature into her drawings, paintings, and 3-dimensional works of art.  No painting experience is required.
