Chemistry Rocks

As part of National Chemistry Week, we will host a program at 11 a.m. Saturday October 28 at the Franklin Public Library.

Chemist Bill Crawford will perform chemistry demonstrations and hands-on experiments to promote children's interest in chemistry.

This program will be enjoyed most by children ages 7-11.

Girls Fight Back: Self Defense for Teen Girls

Girls, ages 13-18, are invited to a self-defense class designed for teen girls and instructed by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.


This event includes a discussion that covers the basics of self-defense and then some hands-on training.

This program is free; Registration is required and parents will need to sign a waiver for participants.




Teen Winter Reading Program Begins

Teens, ages 11 -18, are invited to participate in the Teen Winter Reading Program.

 * Reading logs will be available at both libraries.

* Mark a box on the reading log for every hour that you read. Reading for school DOES count!

* When you reach a prize level, bring your reading log to the library and claim your prize.

* We will stamp your reading log at each level you complete. 

* Once you complete your reading log, turn it in for a chance to win one of our exciting baskets given away at the end of the program!

* Program ends January 31, 2018
