All About iPhone

In this fun and informative class participants are encouraged to ask questions.  Bring your own iPhone or pencil and paper to take notes.

This course will cover: basic iPhone parts and terminology, camera and photographs, apps, calendar, and more.  Come see what new functions are available for your smartphone.

Taught by Adult Education Instructor, Bernie McStay.  iPhones are encouraged but not necessary.

Adults ages 16 and above.  Open seating.


Darkness to Light's Stewards of Children

"Keeping our kids safe should eclipse all else"

Darkness to Light's Stewards of Children is a current, action-oriented look at child sexual abuse prevention.  It uses real people and real stories to show you how to protect children.  Practical prevention training is used with a conversational real-world approach.

Limited class size.  Registration is required by calling 937-748-3200.  

Ages 18 and above.  Two CEUs for those who qualify.

The facts may startle you - About 1 in 10 children in the U.S. will be sexually abused before their 18th birthday; 93% of victimized children are abused by someone they know and trust; and 40% of abusers are older or larger youth.

Womanline of Dayton's Executive Director, Maggie Summers, is a registered facilitator for the national organization, Darkness to Light.  She brings awareness to and educates adults on the topic of childhood sex abuse.


Introduction to Calligraphy

Local Artist Ann Bain will teach what she describes as "a down & dirty intensive intro to calligraphy."  Concentrating on calligraphy since 1980, she sells out of several local shops and her home studio.

This program is free.  Ages 16 and above.
