Thinking of starting a garden this season?  Learn some vegetable gardening basics to get you off to a good start!  We'll cover types of beds or containers, healthy soil, planting techniques including companions, interplanting, and crop rotation.  You'll learn the difference between hybrids, heirloom, and organic seeds; perennials and annuals; water or irrigation systems; and why organic methods are important.

Lisa is a Master Organic Gardener and is Permaculture Certified.  In 2008 she founded Garden Station and later developed Dayton Urban Grown Cooperative training farm.  She is co-owner of Dayton Urban Green located in Five Rivers MetroParks 2nd Street Market.  Her passion for sustainable agriculture has made her a popular speaker at local, state, and national conferences.
